Tarangire National Park

Zanzibar

Tarangire National Park The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses the park. The Tarangire River is the primary source of fresh water for wild animals in the Tarangire Ecosystem during the annual dry season. You’ll pay a visit to the baobabs and elephant herds of Tarangire - with both afternoon and morning game drives to explore the untamed plains and forests of this often underrated park. Home to Tanzania's largest elephant herds, Tarangire is also a fascinating place for bird-watchers, as well as being home to lions, buffalo, baboons, giraffes, impala, and more.
